My
LifeBook S5582 does not display to LCD projector when playing
my file window media player 9. What should I do?
A1
Go to Display under control
panel, select Settings, select Advanced, select Display, select
Ext Monitor and set as Primary and set LifeBook LCD as secondary.
When
I connect my LifeBook S-4546/45 Laptop to a LCD Projector I
do not get any picture through the Projector.
A2
LifeBook S-4546/45 uses
an ATI Chipset that has an advanced feature that allows two
monitors to be connected simultaneously. This has previously
been controlled by the BIOS and not the Video Chipset. To set-up
the Projector, you need to enable the second Monitor from the
Display Properties in Control Panel. To do this, you must specify
a Monitor type, you will get best result using a generic windows
monitor, i.e. Standard SVGA. Once this is done you can switch
between the two displays with the [Fn] + [F10] keys.
I
cannot change my screen resolution for my LifeBook S-4540, except
for the screen area, which requires scrolling to view the full
screen. Is it possible to change the screen resolution to a
higher value without making the screen scroll?
A3
This model S-4540 is
equipped with the SVGA TFT screen and its maximum resolution
is up to 800x600. If set to 1024x768, it will switch to Virtual
Mode, meaning you have to scroll in all 4 directions to view
the full screen. The LifeBook S-4540 model supports up to 800x600
screen resolution only.
Is
it not possible to adjust the screen size? For example, by changing
the adaptor or driver?
A5
This is the specification
of the SVGA TFT screen installed. Alternatively you can set
the monitor type to Plug N Play and then you can adjust it to
1024x768, but it will then be in Virtual Mode and the screen
will need scrolling to be fully viewed.
After
downloading the drivers for LifeBook S-4545 from Fujitsu's website,
the display adapters show "Rage Mobility PCI (English)".
After re-starting, a black border still persists while running
programmes at a resolution of 640x480. Why is that so?
A6
The TFT screen specs
determine that once you set your resolution to 640x480, it will
have the black border. You can press Fn+F5 to force it to full
screen, but the colours will lose clarity as the screen is still
in 600x480 mode. It is better to set the resolution to 800x600
to view the full screen.
The
LifeBook S-4562 display has only 256 colours. When I want to
change the setting to 16 bit high colour or other higher settings,
a new window appears stating: "The display control panel
is unable to change the display settings. Please check your
display hardware manager in device manager." I went to
the device manager but there was no problem. What should I do?
A7
For Video related problems,
please try to reinstall the Video driver. Run setup.exe from
your composite driver CD \LBS4562-72\Video\WME98\SETUP.EXE to
re-install your Video driver again.
My
LifeBook S-4546 does not have an IEEE 1394 terminal, which I
need for digital video editing. Is it possible for me to connect
my system to a monitor and configure it to display split screens?
A8
Please be informed that
the LifeBook S-4546 has two models: one model with a built-in
modem and built-in LAN, the other with the built-in modem and
1394 port. With regards to the monitor, you may configure it
to get the same screen as the primary display or split screen
on an external monitor supported by Windows ME.
