Is it normal for the LifeBook to be unable to detect the 10/100 LAN card? There are times when the LifeBook is unable to detect the LAN card or some other problems related to the LAN card would surface.

I have received an error message that states, "Other devices in the device manager have not been installed properly". The LAN card does not work and I cannot use the Internet without a LAN card.
I am aware that the speed of the Intel chip for my LifeBook should be at least 600MHz. However, when I checked the system properties, the processor speed was reflected as only Pentium III 500MHz. Is there a relevant explanation or has there been some mistake?
Under the Fujitsu Hardware Diagnostic Tool, the Video test memory failed with the following error logged: Video memory compare failed at offset 0000 0004H (4) Wrote pattern 2AAA 2AAAH read back 0000 0000H EVENT: 60_5 "Contact Fujitsu Service & Support". However when a repeat test was run later, it 'passed'.
I would like to know whether Fujitsu provides any update for the BIOS for my PC. When I boot up my PC, the starting screen is a Fujitsu background. However, I cannot see the memory test or the hardware detection. Please provide me with the BIOS update so that I can change the startup screen to the standard boot screen, which allows me to see all the tests and detection. If an update for the BIOS is not available, kindly advise me on how I can change the startup settings if possible.
