Can my LifeBook C-6571 support the IR mouse? It seems like the C-6571 doesn't have an IR mouse receiver.

My built-in infrared mouse does not work after I have upgraded the OS of my LifeBook C-6592r to Windows XP.
I bought the LifeBook C-6611c and tried using it with my HP Scanjet3300C Series scanner. However, an error message indicated "The setup program is unable to turn on your USB port. Please contact your computer manufacturer's support-line to assist you in turning on your USB support in the BIOS." If I use the scanner while running the 'Kodak Imaging' program, I will receive the message, "Scanner or Scanner handler's error".
