How
can I create a bootdisk so that it can boot up the external
PCMCIA CDROM in DOS?
A1
Launch CD named "Software
Driver for Desktop PCs and LifeBook Series" and open the folder
LBB21XX, xx refer to model number. For example, if you owned
LifeBook B-2174, the name of the folder will be LBB2174. In
this folder, open PCMCIA_DOS folder and launch the readme.txt.
The readme.txt file provides step by step guide on how to create
a bootdisk which enables CD-ROM to function under DOS environment.
I
am reinstalling Windows 98/ ME on my LifeBook B-2178 and I have
an unknown device listed?
A3
The ACPI device in some
of the LifeBook B-2178 series is not automatically found. If
you have installed all devices such as Modem, Audio and Video
Controller, it is probably the ACPI device that is the unknown
device listed. The ACPI device driver is available in the Drivers
and Utilities CD supplied.
