Singapore – 09 January 2006 – Following Intel’s introduction of their next-generation mobile platform, codenamed Napa, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific has launched their latest range of products incorporating the latest Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology platform, which is designed to improve power efficiency yet improve graphics and wireless capabilities.
The next-generation Intel Centrino technology will make for smaller, lighter notebooks with stronger performance both in the form of wireless networking and the ability to multitask. In addition, consumers can expect improved wireless bandwidth, boost of average notebook performance, and an improvement in power efficiency, which are among some of the key benefits over the Sonoma platform launched in 2005.
In tandem with its legacy of delivering notebooks and desktops integrating the latest technologies, Fujitsu has concurrently introduced their enhanced range of notebooks, starting from the multimedia desktop alternative, LifeBook N series and the refreshed LifeBook E series.
Targeted at passionate party gamers, the LifeBook N3530 sports a 15.4-inch SuperFine wide screen, providing superb clarity display. Within a short span of 20 seconds, users will be able to access Instant Entertainment and experience enhanced personal productivity with TV recording ability. Following on its predecessor, the LifeBook N6220, Fujitsu has created the ultimate portable home entertainment desktop replacement – the LifeBook N6410. Powered by Intel's Pentium T2400 and 2600 processor, the LifeBook N6410 is equipped with a mega storage space of up to 320GB HDD and built-in 10 numeric keypad and a built-in TV tuner. Turning this notebook from a productivity tool to an entertainment centre is easy.
For the enterprise users, Fujitsu will also be premiering the LifeBook E8110, which is the first corporate LifeBook on the Napa platform. This 15-inch slim notebook weighs approximately 2.3kg but is powered by a full range of latest technologies. That includes Intel’s latest T2300 processor on the i945GM chipset which can support up to 4GB of system memory, comprehensive security features like fingerprint sensor and dedicated smartcard slot.
More new notebooks engineered with the latest Intel technology is to be expected from Fujitsu in the next few months. Do keep a look out for them!
