Stylish and ultra-portable with a host of connectivity options
Singapore, 8 October 2004
- Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific today launched the LifeBook T4010, a convertible notebook that easily transforms to a tablet PC with its swivel-hinged 12.1 inch display. The latest addition to Fujitsu's convertible tablet PC family, the T4010 retains the elegant and sophisticated design of its predecessor, but with improved ergonomics and a new outlook. The LifeBook T4010's ergonomically rounded edges make it more comfortable to hold and grip. Ultra-portable, the T4010 weighs less than two kilograms1 and with its cool black casing, it's the perfect companion for the highly mobile professional.
In contrast to most tablet PCs, the LifeBook T4010 has a built-in Combo drive allowing users to read and write CDs on the go. In addition, users can easily upgrade to a hot swappable DVD Super Multi Drive. Powered by Intel® CentrinoT mobile technology and the latest Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection, the T4010 connects effortlessly to wireless networks allowing faster access to data. Equipped with extensive hard disk storage, which is protected by shock absorbers, the T4010 is designed for use both inside and outside the office.
The LifeBook T4010's wide-angle screen makes it easier to view from various angles. The T4010 also features comprehensive connectivity, including multiple USB ports, modem access and network connections. Users can connect to a wide range of accessories and peripherals such as printers, digital cameras and memory sticks. For those who require multimedia applications, the T4010 sports Dolby Digital Virtual 5.1ch stereo speakers and dual microphones, which allow better recording definition and noise cancellation.
Raymond Foo, Associate Director, Marketing, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific, believes the LifeBook T4010 is a great addition to the Fujitsu Tablet PC family. "We have been manufacturing tablet PCs for more than a decade and the LifeBook T4010 is a combination of our expertise with the best and latest in technology."
"With the integration of an optical drive, the LifeBook T4010 is not only able to offer corporate users similar features of an ultra-portable notebook but even more, with its inking capability. We are confident that the T4010 will bring Fujitsu's strength in tablet PCs to a more mainstream business market."
Fujitsu's strong security features make the LifeBook T4010 an attractive tablet PC for the corporate market. Security-conscious corporate users can rely on the optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) that allows users to encrypt files and emails via Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology.
