Fujitsu releases new
breed of laptop combining Wi-Fi connectivity
and high performance
Singapore, April 29, 2003
The Fujitsu LifeBook E4010 will
offer corporate executives on the move access
to high-performance features coupled with superior
mobile connectivity, security and portability.
Using the latest Intel® Centrino™ Mobile
Technology, the LifeBook E4010 caters to the
demanding requirements of mobile executives
by providing two USB 2.0 ports for multiple
connectivity to PDAs, MP3 players and mobile
phones, and can be expanded further to four
ports with the Port Replicator.
Mobile executives can also take advantage of
the growing number of international Wi-Fi hotspots
with integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and a unique
diversity antenna for optimal reception. For
those staying desk- bound, the LifeBook E4010
comes with a 'snap-on' Port Replicator for fuss-free
cable management. The LifeBook E4010 also has
a modular bay that offers the flexibility to
swap devices according to user's needs.
The security of the LifeBook E4010 has been
enhanced with Fujitsu's Security Panel. The
LifeBook E4010 has an incorporated four-button,
pre-boot data Security Panel with 800,000 possible
password combinations to help ensure that the
proper user's information will be protected
from unauthorised usage. This panel also acts
as quick, one-touch application launch buttons
for the Internet, email and two other programmable
application buttons.
Full-featured yet portable, the LifeBook E4010
is equipped with a 512MB DDR266 SDRAM upgradeable
to 1GB, a 60GB storage capacity and a vivid
15" SXGA+ TFT colour display. As part of the
Intel® 855GM chipset, Intel® Extreme Graphics
2 is capable of supporting up to 64MB DVMT (Dynamic
Video Memory Technology) to deliver intense,
realistic 3D images and enable balanced memory
usage between graphics and system for optimal
performance.
Mr Raymond Foo, Associate Director of Marketing,
Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific said: "Full-featured
notebooks are indispensable for today's mobile
corporate executives. The LifeBook E4010 will
be the notebook companion that functions as
a powerful office productivity hub providing
access to network applications and real-time
critical data in, and out of, the office."
