Ultra thin, ultra portable, the new LifeBook is
designed for ultra mobility
Singapore, June 4, 2002 Fujitsu announced
today the launch of the new LifeBook S6010, a stylish thin
and light notebook designed for ultra portability, specially
for the corporate professional constantly on the move. The latest
addition to the LifeBook S series, this new notebook offers superb
utility and functionality, all within a sleek, A4-sized magnesium
alloy casing.
Excellent Combination of Form and Function
A mere inch thin and weighing just 1.71kg (with Weight Saver),
the LifeBook S6010s slim size slips conveniently into hand
luggage and briefcases. Beneath its compact appearance lies a
full-sized keyboard for more comfortable and accurate data entry.
You can display intense, high definition quality colour graphics
and spreadsheets on the large 13.3 XGA TFT screen using
the integrated Intel® 3D graphics accelerator. The notebook
also utilises Intels Intelligent Memory Distribution system,
which optimally handles all ongoing applications, and processing
needs.
Fujitsus unique port replicator (which comes bundled with
the notebook) adds to the LifeBook S6010s versatility by
allowing you to connect to the surrounding office support systems
easily. The replicators wealth of ports, which includes
a VGA out, USB and LAN connectors offer organized cable management
for maximum versatility and function. Simply detach your LifeBook
and you are ready to go.
Modular mobile slot options
The notebook incorporates hot swappable mobile slots that enables
users to choose between a CD-R/RW, DVD or CD-ROM drive, a second
bay battery to capitalise on notebook performance or weight saver
for maximum portability. For example, a second battery may come
in handy while working in the office, while the Weight Saver makes
travelling with the LifeBook S6010 almost effortless.
Hassle-Free Wireless Connectivity
With its network-ready capability, integrated modem and Ethernet
ports, the LifeBook S6010 offers mobile professionals ready connectivity
anywhere. In fact, the LifeBook S6010 comes with a built-in wireless
antenna, and a customizable option allowing an upgrade to 802.11b
wireless LAN capability when purchasing the notebook. An alternative
LifeBook S6010 model with the integrated 802.11b Wi-Fi compliant
wireless LAN module is also available.
Built-in
notebook access security feature
The LifeBook S6010 comes with a unique security feature that allows
users to lock the notebook securely. This is done
using four numeric security buttons that offer a total of over
800,000 possible password combinations. This protects the confidential
information in your LifeBook from any unauthorised access and
usage.
