- With a breakthrough in mobile processor performance, Fujitsu
announced its most powerful notebook today. As its flagship
of technology, Fujitsu's LifeBook E-6666 combines the fastest
Mobile Intel® Pentium® III Processor 1.2GHz-M supporting
SpeedStepTM technology with a 512KB secondary cache (133MHz
front-side bus), 16MB video DDR RAM and 30 GB hard disk
space to deliver the pinnacle of performance for the discerning
top-level executive who demands nothing but the best.
This notebook leverages on its advanced multimedia
capabilities to ensure smoother presentations, even when
running sophisticated audio-visual software which need intensive
graphics support. The corporate user can thus engage in
more collaboration, visual analysis and video-conferencing
activities that will greatly add to his productivity.
The LifeBook E-6666 is equipped with integrated
modem and LAN, which optimizes it for networked enterprise
environments. A Bluetooth PC Card option is also available
for cable-free connections in the workplace.
Performance Rivals a Desktop
The LifeBook E-6666 rivals most desktops in terms of speed
and 3D processing capability, and is portable to boot. At
only 2.65kg*, the E-6666 is designed for the travelling
executive with demanding computing needs. The modular design
helps maintain the light weight, yet increasing capabilities
at the same time. Users can choose from various options
such as a second battery to a 3-in-1 DVD-ROM / CD-R/RW /
CD-ROM drive. Thanks to the CD-R/RW capability, users can
now conveniently back up their data on the go or generate
copies of their sales presentations. The Super XGA+ TFT
LCD colour display also offers hitherto unparalleled clarity
and brilliance. The ultra-high resolution gives added comfort
and pleasure when viewing DVDs and other forms of entertainment
on the notebook.
Security
Besides the emphasis on power and functionality, the LifeBook
E-6666 also offers a secure system that corporate executives
can rely on. Its unique Security Panel consists of five
buttons located at the front. With more than 800,000 possible
password combinations, this security feature can be programmed
into the hardware to protect the notebook from unauthorized
use. Four of the same buttons are also programmable by the
user for hassle-free launch of their Internet and email
applications as well as other user-preferred applications.
Emphasis on Productivity
The LifeBook E-6666, like all other Fujitsu LifeBook series,
is endowed with a battery-bridging technology that allows
executives to swap batteries without having to shut down
the notebook, thus ensuring that presentations can proceed
with as little interruption as possible. A Li-Ion battery
provides up to 3.5 hours** of battery life for extended
use on the road.
In addition, the Device Bay features
a catch located at the side which allows the modular option
to pop out whilst the notebook is placed in a horizontal
position, thus not disrupting workflow.
