Singapore, May 21, 2001 -
Fujitsu, leading manufacturer of computer products, has
recently increased the productivity quotient of the LifeBook
P-1010 by integrating both LAN and modem ports onto this
super-cool PDA-sized machine. The powerful productivity
tool today keeps the travelling executive organized and
well connected. The true-blue travelling executive can also
present materials on the fly as the new LifeBook P-1010
now comes with a VGA Out port.
Despite its tiny size, the P-1010 LifeBook runs a full version
of Microsoft® Windows® Millennium
Edition. Powered by a Transmeta Crusoe - 5400 microprocessor,
the P-1010 clips along at a brisk 600 MHz, aided by a 128
MB SDRAM. Battery life is approximately seven hours long*.
Measuring just 24.3(W), 15.1(D) and 3(H) cm and weighing
less than one kg, the LifeBook P-1010 rests comfortably
on your palm. With Fujitsu's Quickpoint mousing interface,
navigation is easy on the 8.8 inch wide TFT colour display,
which affords comfortable viewing.
The Fujitsu LifeBook P-1010 sports a storage capacity comparable
to larger notebooks currently in the market. The 15 GB hard
disk ensures road warriors of adequate data storage ability.
This also saves users the need to bring extra floppy disks
or other storage peripherals.
The LifeBook P-1010 is eminently suitable for the highly-mobile
executive who needs instant access to large volumes of information.
Insurance agents, students and on-site technical personnel
who typically carry heavy files and thick instruction manuals
will find the generous hard disk a boon, especially as today's
applications may range from multimedia video files to Powerpoint
presentations.
With heavy emphasis on connectivity and convenience, the
LifeBook P-1010 features a one-touch email button which
automatically initiates downloading of email without the
user having to go through the grind of manually booting
up and dialing in.
The LifeBook P-1010 need not be restricted to just the office.
Indeed the modem also enhances the mobile executive's lifestyle
as online novels, music or even games can be downloaded
for replay during the leisure hours, not necessarily in
the home environment but in a cab or even by the beach!
