On September 28, 2006, Sony Corporation announced a voluntary replacement program for certain Sony-made battery packs. In response to Sony's announcement, on September 30 Fujitsu announced our decision to cooperate with Sony by offering voluntary replacement of the Sony-made battery packs in specified Fujitsu notebook PC models.
Customers in the Asia Pacific region who need to replace the Sony-made battery packs in their Fujitsu notebook PCs will be able to access information regarding replacement procedures here. Please note that this voluntary replacement program covers the specified Sony-made battery packs only; the notebook PCs themselves will not be replaced.
If you have already verified that your LifeBook model, battery part number and date code fall within the list provided in our second announcement on 18 October 2006, please proceed to our Battery Exchange Program page for further validation. You will need to have your LifeBook model and serial numbers, battery pack part number and date code on hand.
